Biomechanics

Sports Physical Therapy

When we assess athletes at Sports Reaction Center, we begin with the foundational movement patterns. This helps us understand your movement strategies and how and why tissue failure occurs.

Biomechanical Assessment

When the foot hits the ground, everything changes. That your skeleton dissipates the ground reaction force is true during walking and running, as well as cycling. Often, we can alter your biomechanical strategies through custom orthotic therapy. In addition to reducing pain, correctly made, your orthotics should also improve your efficiency, and even your performance.

Functional Screening

If you are an athlete at the top of your game, you know that it is the little things that matter. The Functional Screen is a method we use to select specific areas of weakness for you to focus on to improve your performance. Once we have cleared your Foundational Movement Patterns and your Biomechanics, the next step is the Functional Screen. Read more about the functional screen.

OptoJump Next

Optojump Next makes it possible to examine the physical condition of an athlete after an injury. The data recording device can rapidly identify any muscular deficiencies and measure tolerance to various workloads. The evidence collected from an Optojump Next evaluation will help your therapist develop a specific plan for rehabilitation and also monitor your progress throughout your rehabilitation training. Read more about the Optojump Next Tool.
