So far this year

Wow, its been a whirlwind. First of all, between all the rugby matches, track meets, Ironman events and lacrosse matches we cover, we also see patients…and it has been wonderful to see the athletes we treat recover and go on to compete and improve their performances.

The teams we cover have done so well: OPSB the Super League Rugby Team made the playoffs and advanced to the Western Championship game in San Francisco at Treasure Island. We lost to the eventual National Champions. It was a great season though with so many great individual and team performances. The Eastside Lions also did great advancing to and wining the Bowl in their championship series.

The track and field team went to NYC and the women took third overall with lots of individual titles among both the men and the women. It is really fun to see how hard work and good coaching leads to results.

A highlight of the first half of the year was the Ironman race in Idaho where 16 VO2 MultiSport athletes competed with 4 making the Ironman World Championships in Kona later this year! Congratulations to them!

Right now I am working with Mike Sayenko who is on his way to Korea for the World Championships in the Marathon, and I am going to go along with him as his physical therapist.

Also this year, I have had the opportunity spend time at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and with the Strength and Conditioning Staff of Denver Rapids.

Its been busy, but so much fun!
