FAQs

Where did Body Balance come from?

The program was developed by the first Director of Physical Therapy on the PGA Tour. He had treated over 230 of the 300 top PGA Tour golfers. While touring with the PGA, he developed various physical therapy techniques to help get the body in better balance so a golfer can better execute the golf swing.

What steps do I take to get started?

Submit the "Get Started form" here.

Is Body Balance a gym?

No. You won’t find any big machines or weights like your average gym facilities. Body Balance supplies the equipment, exercises and instruction needed to focus on golf specific exercises.

What equipment do you use?

Most of the equipment used at a Body Balance Center is rather simple. An exercise ball, rubber tubing, and a golfers' own body weight are the most common and allow you to easily do your exercises at your home or office. These items are available at the Body Balance Pro Shop.

What is the DBS?

The DBS, Dynamic Balance System, monitors the golfers’ center of gravity through the swing, while providing immediate visual feedback. This system allows a golfer the chance to see, in graphic detail, how they maintain their balance throughout their swing.

Will I have personalized instruction?

Yes. Body Balance programs are designed so that you have one on one private sessions with your Golf Fitness Specialist.

Will I swing a golf club at Body Balance?

Yes. During most of your sessions, you will be asked to perform many swings as part of your training program.

How much of a handicap reduction can I get with this program?

Body Balance Clients average 4-6 strokes off their handicap over the course of their program.

Is exercise a part of the program?

Absolutely. Your Golf Fitness Specialist will design a customized exercise program for you based on your needs, your body, and the goals you want to attain.

What results will I see?

    • More Power/Distance
    • More Consistency/Accuracy
    • Lower scores
    • Flexibility
    • Increased Balance
    • Increased Range of Motion
    • Less Pain, aches and fatigue
    • Better Overall Health

What kind of credentials does a Golf Fitness Specialist have?

Each Licensed Center has a licensed physical therapist, chiropractor, occupational therapist or athletic trainer, who has been specially trained and licensed by Body Balance for Performance® in our National Training Center.

How much does a Body Balance for Performance® Program cost?

Since Body Balance programs are fully customized to meet your physical, time, and financial needs the cost will vary. The actual investment you make in your golf and your health is completely up to you.
