New Edition of Common Musculoskeletal Disorders Published
The Founder, Neil Chasan, has contributed two chapters to the new edition of the popular physical therapy textbook Common Musculoskeletal Disorders, 4th Edition by Darlene Hertling and Randolph M. Kessler, published by Lippencott publishing (2005).
The chapters "Physical and Mechanical Properties of Dense Connective Tissue" and "Functional Exercise Strategies" are pivotal to clinical practice and make up the core data that Neil teaches the Doctoral Candidates at the UW PT curriculum during their senior year. PGA Certification Program
Body Balance of Bellevue recently hosted the PGA Certification program here in Bellevue at Overlake Country Club. The program, presented by Dave Ostrow, the President of Body Balance for Performance, Inc. certifies PGA Pros in evaluation of mechanical deficits leading to swing faults. The program has been very successfully offered in Philadelphia, Minnesota and San Diego and will soon be offered in other cities around the country. Body Balance for Performance is only offered in Washington State at Sports Reaction Centers Body Balance of Bellevue clinic.
Long Term Weight Loss Study
Sports Reaction Center is pursuing NIH funding to validate the fantastic Smart Metabolism weight loss program that is offered at the clinic. In conjunction with Glen Duncan, Ph.D. at the University of Washington, and Smart Metabolism, Inc, Sports reaction Center is seeking a long term grant to document and prove the findings scientifically.
