FAQs

What is Physical Therapy?

Physical therapy (also known as physiotherapy) is a health profession concerned with the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disease and disability through physical means. It is based upon principles of medical science, and is generally held to be within the sphere of conventional (rather than alternative) medicine.

How long are appointments?

The initial evaluation usually takes a little longer because we are taking your history and doing a physical examination, but typical visits last about an hour to an hour and a half.

How many visits will I need?

Again, this depends on your situation. Each diagnosis is different and each person responds differently to the care plan. Our average patient is seen 11 times over a two-month period.

What are your hours?

We are open from 7am to 7pm Monday through Thursday and from 7am to 1pm on Friday. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Can I be seen today?

We have a policy to help people in acute pain get started immediately. If you are in acute pain, we guarantee you an appointment within 24 hours. Please call (425) 643-9778 ASAP to request an appointment.

Do I need to see my doctor first?

Your insurance might require you to do so. State law in Washington State does not require you to do so. After the initial visit though, we prefer you to see your doctor so that we are all on the same page.

Will my insurance cover your services?

Probably. You will need to look in your coverage book to be certain. If we have an agreement with your insurance company, we will be covered “in network,” if not, we are an “out of network.” Our staff can assist you in verifying your coverage when you come in to see us.
