Performance Based Physical Capacity Evaluations
By request, and with prior authorization of the claims manager, a Performance Based Physical Capacity Evaluation (PCE) can be scheduled. The process, at least 4 hours, covers:
- History
- Physical examination
- Aerobic conditioning
- Material handling
- Psycho-physical testing
- Manual dexterity
- Symptom magnification screening
The test produces a result identifying the level of work capacity, the ability of the worker to return to full time or part time work, and the potential of the worker to achieve a higher level of work with additional conditioning. The test also definitively determines the validity of the test and certifies as to the degree of participation of the injured worker, and as to the efficacy of their pain complaint.
PCE’s that are not pre-authorized are able to be scheduled with up front payment in full by the injured worker.
Please call (425) 643-9778 or link here to schedule or inquire about this test procedure.
