Mortality - The death rate from the disease

 

Body Mass Index (BMI)

BMI is a height/weight ratio that is a number that correlates to various risk factors for a number of diseases and disorders. The formula is 704 x weight/height/height. People who are extremely fit and have low body fat should use percent of body fat to determine body composition.

    22 - Ideal
    25 - Normal
    27 - Overweight
    30 - Mildly Obese
    35 - Moderately Obese
    40 - Morbidly Obese

 

As BMI rises above 22, morbidity increases for:
